In 2003 we imported the world-famous Drum
Horse stallion, Galway Warrior. He was 18 years old at that time,
and we knew his breeding years were limited. The challenge was to
produce a breeding stallion better than him to follow in his footsteps.
On the morning of May 9, 2006, we knew our task was met.
Introducing Alexander
That morning,
as my son, Thomas, was excited to celebrate his own birthday, our mare,
Pippen, gave us the drum horse colt we'd been working towards. We
named our new colt after my son's middle name, Alexander.
We could not
have asked for more. Alexander is a big, beautiful, black & white,
homozygous stallion. He carries the most respected lines in the
drum horse world. His sire, Galway Warrior, is perhaps the best
known drum horse in the world.. His dam, Pippen, is sired by 'Glatstopper',
who is well known in the UK.
Alexander has
grown up well, and has not disappointed us. He is tested and
confirmed homozygous for the tobiano trait, so will give you spots no
matter what you breed him to. Alexander bred his first mares this
season, and those foals should arrive in the spring of 2011.
Alexander has
been professionally trained to ride and drive. His ground manners
are impeccable. He has been worked regularly by adults and
children.
Be sure to
view his online video clip, and call if you have any questions.
