Ross - Old Rose's Colt
Now in Colorado

This is a living legend!  This colt is royalty among gypsy horses.  Not only is his sire one of the top modern-day horses in England, but his dam is Old Rose, the "mother of all".  "Jim's" Rose line is known throughout Britain as being as elite as it gets.  Old Rose is about 23 years old now, and has produced the best of the best in gypsy horse bloodlines.  So many of the top stallions and mares in England have this old mare in their recent pedigrees.  This colt isn't a descendent of this famous Rose line, he is Old Rose's son!  This is akin to being a direct son of the Road Sweeper, or of the Old Black Horse!  It's as good as it gets.  Then, you go to the other side of this colt, and find Jim's good stallion, one of the "best foal-getters in all of England", and you have the king of kings here.

After we get thru the blood on this horse, we then get to see if the "proof is in the pudding".  His genetics say this colt should be as good as it gets, but did that pan out?  YES!!!  DEFINITELY YES!  Look at this colt!  His body won't quit, and he's as heavy (in hair) as most 3 year old stallions, at just 8 months of age!  Look at the short back on this boy, and his build.  He's what "the lads" call "a little block", which is EXACTLY what the lads are breeding for these days.  If you want to break into the gypsy horse world at the top, this colt is it.  He has a bright blue eye on the left.

Price: $13,000 NOW IN COLORADO!
This colt was just that good!  When we first laid eyes on this boy, we had told the breeder that someone in the states needed this colt.  We didn't know if it would be sooner or later, but we knew his blood and quality needed to be in the US.  We went ahead and brought him over this trip, as the owner was having trouble with several of "the lads" nagging him to sell them this colt.  He had told me that I could buy him, and didn't want to go back on that, so he had us go ahead and remove the temptation.  This colt would have sold for double the UK price if he were still in England.

NEW pictures, taken March 6, 2003 (in Colorado)  A cute, fuzzy teddy bear, or a king among gypsy horses?  BOTH!

Ross meets his half-sister / niece, Rosie filly.

Look at this boy, he owned the world from the day he was born.  He's about 10 days old in this photo.  He knew he was royalty from the get-go.
In the photo, you can see his mom, "Old Rose" (23 years old), and his half-sister, "Rose" (8 years).  These mares have produced some of the best gypsy horses I have ever seen.
